Gong’s Delicious Chinese Food Delights for
more than 31 Years
Huntington
Beach, Calif.--Gong’s Chinese Food has become a local
tradition for many in Southern California the last 31 years for a
variety of good reasons.
Located in Huntington Beach at 6815 Warner
Ave., around the corner from the U.S. Post Office (near Golden
West), the delicious Cantonese cuisine, friendly atmosphere and
lunch/dinner specials make it a special place for many.
“It’s my favorite Chinese restaurant,” said
Martha, a local who eats there weekly with her husband,
Otto. “We just love the Broccoli Beef dinner for two that’s on the
dinner special. And the friendly service can’t be beat. Everyone’s
smiling and so respectful—nobody’s more caring than Gong’s
employees.”
“The wonderful aroma from the moment we enter
the door starts our experience,” said Jack Parker of Fountain
Valley. “I like to watch the cooks, like Mr. Wong, use such
precision with their instruments—it’s like watching a marching
band.”
“I’ve been coming here for over 20 years,” said
Marcella Parsons of Huntington Beach. “The owner Singh and his staff
are so gracious and they know what we will be ordering before we
open our mouths. They’re always two steps ahead of us in
anticipating our wants. In this time of constant change, it’s so
wonderful the some things never change.”
“I’m a new customer,” said Ken Wong of
Huntington Beach. Although the food and service are hard to beat,
the real reason we eat here regularly is the price. “Their specials
are tremendous. I can save money and feed my family of four for
$14.95 with the dinner special that has fried shrimp, egg rolls,
chicken chow mein, sweet and sour pork, friend rice, almond and
fortune cookies plus more.”
“And you can eat lunch specials (11-3) for as
low as $4.75 that include fried wontons, fried rice and your choice
of one entrée: pork chow mein or chop suey, chicken chow mein or
chop suey, beef chow mein or chop suey, almond chicken or egg foo
young.”
“When I have friends come over, I don’t have
time to cook them a meal, so I order over the phone and pick it up
on my way home from work,” said Bill Easterbrook of Huntington
Beach. “It’s so convenient and I’ve never been disappointed.”
Gong's, which also specializes in Food-To-Go,
is open 7 days a week, Sunday-Thursday, 11am to 9pm and
Friday-Saturday, 11am to 10pm. Party Trays are available.
