Beaches Travel Information Resources
No trip to California Beaches is complete
without
Weather and water quality conditions. California Trip Planner includes
the Sunrise and Sunset Calculator, Road Conditions Monitor, Water Quality
Observer and Weather Conditions. If you are seeking information about California
roads,
Road Conditions links to California
Government Department of Roads. The most updated information available is
posted on their site. Fast facts on California
include lots of trivia.

Weather
for Los Angeles California & elsewhere is the best source for maps and
current weather reports. We've tried other systems and have even had associates
cancel travel trips because the reports at weather.com provided dire predictions
that were totally wrong! NOAA, the National Weather Service doesn't have
ads, cute faces and little sunshine images. What it has is the best accuracy of
any system. |
Road Conditions
California Government Department of Roads includes current California road
conditions updated to reflect problems and closures. You simply enter the number
of the road or freeway you plan to travel on in California and it will show you
the current status of that thoroughfare. |
If
you seek water quality at the
California Beach Cities, the best tool we've is the
Heal the Bay site. Volunteers routinely check water samples and report to the
nonprofit organization. Unfortunately, some areas are monitored less and the
delay of a week can make guests vulnerable to poor water quality conditions.
Though this is the down side of the link and tool, you can gain a general
knowledge of water quality at specific beaches and be aware of repeat or
persistent water quality problems you may find at several locations. Check the
link
Water Quality
for more information. |

Sunset Calculator is a fun tool that's been
around for years, making your photo taking more precise. We use the
calculator from time to time.
Press Releases
are posted as a courtesy to guests from
submissions we've received. Many California
Conference and Visitors Bureaus known as CVBs or
VCBs (reverse the words Visitor and Conference)
send press releases to news publications as a
service to inform media about story ideas and
ultimately to reach consumers who may visit
destinations in California. There are well over
100 of these conference and visitors bureaus in
California, many of them operating as separate
entities within a city and some operating under
the auspices of a chamber of commerce.
Some are funded by members while others receive
city grants, transit occupancy tax (TOT), bed
taxes or other forms of funding. The
complete list of Conference and Visitors Bureaus
are available at
California Travel News.
Events in California
are happening everywhere, every day. We have
compiled a list of things to do in many
destinations and hope you'll enjoy seeing the
fun parades, festivals, food and wine tastings,
fireworks shows and more.
