Big Thunder Ranch
at Disneyland Anaheim theme park never looked so grand as when it's decked out
for the holidays, as seen in the picture above.
Families find
this Disneyland themed area a great place to mingle, dine casually with the kids
and relax. There's a ride that's pretty exciting on Big Thunder Mountain, but
during Christmas, everything is exciting as Disneyland is filled with colorful,
live poinsettias that burst with red throughout the park.
At the picnic
tables at Big Thunder Ranch, the dining is strictly casual with the pink,
plastic tablecloths. But draped overhead are strings of colorful Christmas
lights in blue, red, green and white. Children and parents are mesmerized by the
holiday decorations at Disneyland.
For a truly
memorable California vacation, take the kids to Disneyland and California
Adventure theme parks (side-by-side parks) during the holidays. Winter in
Southern California where the parks are located is warm, and extremely pleasant.
Some say it is the most pleasant, happiest place on Earth, in fact!
Take for
instance,
Disneyland Resorts, Knott's Berry Farm, Pirates Dinner Adventure Show,
Universal Studios Hollywood, Legoland, SeaWorld, Wild Animal Park and an
assortment of other attractions, museums and thrill ride amusements.
The long and the
short of it is that whenever a holiday comes around such as Christmas, the major
theme parks are all decked out--and simply magical to visit and enjoy. Illusions
can seem real during this season when you add thousands upon thousands of
twinkling lights to the night sky. Put Mickey and Minnie Mouse in some colorful
red costumes (oh, they wear that color all year long), and tie some bows onto to
trees. Next add big dripping strings of colorful lights, and wreaths shaped like
Mickey Mouse, himself, and you have a holiday to remember.
When the times
get tough, we get going to Disneyland and Knotts. A day of diversion is
guaranteed to take your mind off reality for a while. There's no better
Christmas gift to give yourself than a day at the theme park, Disneyland, or its
sister attraction, California Adventure.
As you stroll
through the many adventures--Fantasyland, Tomorrowland and Bear Country or New
Orleans Square, get your camera ready for some holiday cheer. Huge colorful
ornaments hang from nearly every post or spot above your head. Then there are
the Christmas trees, glorious, shining symbols of Christmas. We know you can't
always make it to Disneyland in Anaheim, especially during Christmas. So by
golly, we're jolly and went out there to capture the imagery so you could see
how merry the holidays can be at California theme parks. We love 'em!
