Pictured above in upper left corner is an actual Pacific
Electric tower car used as a museum. The lower photo is a colorized
actual picture of a red car traveling across Alamitos Bay, next to Seal
Beach in Long Beach, probably taken before 1930. These cars were
the ticket to vacation adventure and day trips for Los Angeles residents
lured to the coast. Developers hoped guests would like what they saw and
invest in their housing tracts. See

red car photo from Naples.
