Climb the rocks and watch the ocean splash against
them, sail a boat along the beautiful waters of this region's marine sanctuary
or rent a surrey and pedal along the beach path. It's great exercise!
Witness the history of old Pacific Grove with a walking
tour. The Chamber of Commerce offers a list of historic buildings or visitors
can sign up for a walking tour. Picture Postcard Tours cover downtown
Pacific Grove and highlight uncommon people and places of
the Grove.
Covering over one mile, there are some inclines, so wear
comfortable shoes and be prepared for a moderate work out. The tour proceeds
come rain or shine, except when extreme weather conditions merit cancellation.

Retreat in the 1870s, hosted the first Pacific Coast
Chautauqua and remained the last "dry" town in California. The tour begins every
Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Chamber office at Forest and Central. Reservations
