No place on earth is easier to photograph than stunning Pebble
Beach, especially when you experience one of its trademark
sunsets along the 17 Mile Drive. Seen in the photo above are the
Monterey Pine trees silhouetted by the golden setting sun along
a 17 Mile Drive location.
The irregular shapes of the trees provide one of the best
opportunities to try your hand at silhouette techniques, in
fact. You simply do some light meter readings or bracketing from
overexposed to under by several stops, just to be safe. You'll
easily see the results with digital and can decide which
exposure is best.
If you don't take a camera to the 17 Mile Drive tour, then you
are really missing out. There are hundreds of vistas, views and
unique landforms to photograph on this special Monterey Bay
location that is really about 17 miles long.
