Peach Tulips, Peach
Roses & Pumpkin Flower Arrangement
Photo of
a Thanksgiving table decoration include a
carved pumpkin as a flower base filled with
dried autumn leaves, rich red roses, peach
colored tulips, peach roses, and other
flowers surrounded by shaped, baked breads
and rolls on a granite table top. What a
fantastic holiday decoration it makes! But
be sure to save a pumpkin for this
arrangement.
I'll
never forget the time a neighbor came
knocking on my door looking for a pumpkin
just a few weeks after Halloween. It seems
that most people purchase their pumpkins for
decorative effects for Halloween but quickly
discard them, never to be seen again until
the next September / October Halloween
season. Many decorators have used pumpkins
in the past several years for Thanksgiving
table vase and plant holders. While we
especially enjoy pumpkins in foods (see
pumpkin recipes) such as pumpkin soup or
a delicious shrimp or squash bisque served
in pumpkin shell, they also look really warm
and festive as the main table decor.
If you
have a really big spread, then use them on
your serving stations and guests will really
be wowed by the noticeable effect. Tulip
colors include lavender, peach,
orange, red,
pink, purple white, yellow and
bi-colors.
About the photo above: Flower Photos - Peach Tulips & Roses
Peach colored tulips and roses decorate a Thanksgiving
Day Pumpkin Floral Arrangement on a brown granite table
that's filled with unique hand-made breads and rolls.
Tulips were once the rarest flower on earth and could
command a price of several thousand dollars per stem.
Vase life of a tulip is up to seven days, while the
open-shell pumpkin usually lasts a little less than
that. |
