Shelter Cove Lodge is a home away from home. People find
the umbrella- shaded tables and pristine grass lawns
comfortable for lounging.. You'll find people, young and
old, sitting poolside reading books, sunbathing or
playing down at the beach below the hotel. Pismo Beach
is one of the prettiest beaches far enough south to
experience the warm climate sunbathers enjoy. In
general, the further north you travel in California, the
less crowded the beaches become, due largely to the
cooler climate. Pismo Beach and nearby Avila Beach are
the Central Coast spots that enjoy nice climate and less
crowds than Southern California.
These hotels along
the cliffs provide wonderful weekend getaways for
Californians from Los Angeles and San Francisco, but are
a pleasant surprise to other guests, as well. There's
Pismo Outlet outdoor shopping nearby, several wineries
along a wine trail, a mission in San Luis Obispo and the
Pismo Dunes. We can't help ourselves. Pismo Beach is a
photographer's delight and we really love this spot!
