Aliso Viejo hotels in South Orange County are limited, though fairly new.
With only one or two hotels in this mostly residential
community, we expect to see more come online in the next
decade.
Anaheim
is the hotel capital of Orange County and
certainly even rivals the offerings in Los Angeles, San
Diego, or San Francisco, thanks to Disneyland. While
luxury resorts are hard to come by (Disney's California
Adventure claims fame as a them park resort), this is
one of the best places in all of California to find
budget prices and three star quality. Serving families
for 50 years, the hotels are accustomed to hospitality,
and you'll discover dozens of chain hotel offerings
in brands travelers know and select often. If you're
looking to keep your California vacation down to a
specific budget, Anaheim is one of the top choices for
prices.
Balboa is technically a small
section of Newport Beach and as such, should be
considered one piece of a bigger pie. With only one
hotel listing here, Balboa Inn, you'll find Newport
Beach's beach hotel (right next to the sand & Balboa
Pier) and central location to walk over to the Catalina
Flyer departure next to the Balboa Pavilion. There are
other hotels along the peninsula where Balboa Inn sits,
but this hotel considers itself the prime spot for beach
fun.
Brea hotels exist more as sidebar to Anaheim and
Buena Park hotel offerings, and serve a local audience
as well as business travelers. Brea has several events
throughout the year that make it worth an overnight
stay. But you'll only find one or two hotels you can
book.
Buena
Park is home to the Cedar Faire-owned theme park, Knott's
Berry Farm. There are a few chain hotel offerings and
the prices seem fairly solid throughout the year. You'll
get lucky if you find a three diamond chain hotel room
for under $99, but the two diamonds will get you in for
less seasonally, if you are willing to sacrifice a few
basics. There are not luxury hotels, but when you're
playing at the theme park all day, who needs to be
pampered with spa treatments?
Capistrano
Beach hotels are well suited for beach vacations. Located
looking over the beaches of Doheny and Dana Point, Capo
Beach hotels aren't high on the richter scale of quality
as they range in the one and two diamonds, but they are
more affordable than some nearby hotels in Dana Point.
Cypress - is a business center for
corporations and as such, offers great extended stay
options.
Dana Point - Dana Point hotels
feature a harbor with boat tours, romantic hillside
hotels for weddings, and the famous St. Regis and Laguna
Niguel's Five Diamond Ritz Carlton.
Fountain Valley -
Fountain Valley is a
budget hotel, freeway-close option for vacationers and
business travelers not needing the beach accommodations.
Fullerton - Fullerton is home to a major state
university. It's a come-back town that has charm seen in
its downtown building renovations. Clubs, bars, dining,
and shopping abound...and there's an Amtrak train stop.
Garden Grove - Garden Grove is a
Disneyland close hotel city where you can book hotels
for your Disneyland vacation.
Huntington
Beach hotels are certainly beginning
to rival the South Orange offerings for luxury and
ocean-close amenities. While none of HB's hotels are on
the beach (on-the-beach hotels can be found in Sunset
Beach, Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, Dana Point and San
Clemente), travelers trade up for amenities in some
newer resort properties offering ocean views from many
rooms, on-site dining, swimming pools, and even spa
treatments at the Hyatt Resort. Ranging from ocean view
mid-to-higher priced resorts & hotels, to budget chain
hotels along Beach Boulevard and elsewhere, travelers
seeking a summer beach vacation are more & more
selecting Huntington Beach as their hotel destination.
You can read more about
Huntington Beach hotels, if you want to get the
scoop.
Irvine - Irvine is a business
center. Come Friday, there are deals to be found in the
closest hotels to Orange County Airport.
La Palma - La Palma in north Orange
County offers business-friendly hotels.
Laguna Beach - Laguna Beach is the
beach choice for hotels on the beach. Most cities don't
have hotels right on the beach like Laguna Beach does.
It's definitely a family and couples vacation spot.
Laguna
Hills - This is near many
residential complexes and leisure world, as is
Laguna Woods,
Lake Forest and
Mission Viejo
They are all located in the same
region--South Orange County.
Los Alamitos - Los Alamitos is near the
racetrack but is also known for its business hotels.
Newport Beach - Is a young &
beautiful playground for the beyond teen crowd.
Vacations are one attraction, but there are many Newport
Beach hotels surrounding the Orange County Airport, too!
Newport Coast - Newport Coast is the
newest, annexed portion of Newport Beach that defines
itself as upscale and expensive. The hotels are not on
the beach, but mostly feature hillside locations
overlooking the ocean.
Orange - Known for its charming Old
Town, modern The Block shopping mall and other
attractions, Orange hotel accommodations are pretty
utilitarian.
Placentia
- Placentia hotels offer affordable options for
business and family vacations.
San
Clemente - A beach, a pier, surfing
and an old-fashioned city with a downtown core make up
this lovely seaside city with hotels designed for
tourists. It's a vacation stop.
San Juan Capistrano - The mission is
in San Juan Capistrano, and so is a first class
equestrian facility where events are hosted. The hotel
options are budget and minimal.
Seal Beach - For such a charming
place, Seal Beach hotels don't do the town justice. A
beach, pier, and great bay location are ideal. Many
movies have been filmed here. But there are no hotels at
the beach, and Pacific Inn is approx. 3 blocks away.
Ayres & Hampton Inn are fairly new and offer affordable,
freeway close accommodations for business travelers,
youth and sports groups, and budget travelers.
Stanton - This is Knotts Berry Farm
and Beach Blvd. budget hotel offerings.
Sunset Beach - Sunset Beach it
totally beach. The three hotels are at the beach or no
more than half a block walking distance. It's a great
place to stay and simply relax.
Tustin - Not much in the way of hotels
in Tustin. Maybe one hotel offering.
Westminster - Westminster gets a bad rap as the
freeway-close, budget hotel choice. People like it
because the prices are great and you're only 10 or 15
minutes worth of stoplights from the beach.
Yorba Linda
- There aren't many hotels in Nixon Library
territory. Maybe one.
Orange County California hotels
include great values in affordable
accommodations near Disneyland and
Knotts Berry Farm in Anaheim and
Buena Park.
Orange County hotels offer one of
the greatest selections of
affordable to luxury accommodations
in all of California. Why?
Disneyland!
Disneyland has done an excellent job
of developing a strategy to make
vacations easy for guests. The price
of tickets is fairly costly so an
affordable fee structure is in
place, providing cheap, budget,
middle-of-the-road, and corporate
quality rooms and suites for every
budget.
With Anaheim Convention Center
located across the street from
Disneyland, hotel rooms are in great
demand all year long, thanks to the
awesome Orange County weather (some
of the finest in the world.) The
types of travelers coming to enjoy
the sunny climes are families on
vacation, Californian weekend
getaway nomads, and those attending
conferences and conventions,
especially. Of course Orange County
hotels see other segments of the
market but for you, the travel
planner booking your rooms for your
trip, what all this means is that
you're probably going to find
something in a price range you like.
In addition to the
budget and value hotels such as Best
Western chain, there are upscale
resorts on the beach and nearby.
Popular shopping destinations such
as South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa
near Orange County's John Wayne
Airport are surrounded by hotels.
From Five Diamond AAA resorts to hotels with
no ranking, you can stay in
presidential suites, ocean view
rooms, rooms overlooking California
Adventure rides at Disneyland
Resort, rooms on beaches, near
freeways and with spas, restaurants,
bars, lounges and golf courses on
site.
Southern California's Orange County
Hotels and Resorts are some of the
most popular choices for California
Vacations. Nothing quite holds a
candle to the Disneyland Vacation hotels,
primarily because of their location
to the theme parks. Families and
people on vacation or weekend
getaways prefer the convenience of
walking across the street to Disney
fun, rather than driving or taking a
bus or driving from a Orange County
beach hotels.
With
over 100 resorts and hotels
surrounding the theme park in
Anaheim and Garden Grove, you will
find many within walking distance of
the park and most are incredibly
affordable in comparison to
other Orange County California
Hotels.
Tourists and travelers like staying
at Orange County hotels because the
climate is great and the atmosphere
is more friendly and safe than
larger surrounding counties such as
San Diego and Los Angeles.
California Beach Hotels offer an
exciting, fun way to experience oceanfront enjoyment without the
fees involved in monthly mortgage payments. Getting away to a beach
hotel is a simple process and can be affordable in off-season
visits. Above is a list of some of hundreds of beach hotel options
in California.
