NEWPORT BEACH--This map shows approximately 7.2 miles of coast in Newport Beach from
numbered streets 62nd near the northernmost spot, to 6th. After 6th, the
streets mostly revert to names for a few blocks up to Main (which is the
equivalent of 1st), and from there, go roughly from A to M in
alphabetical order to West Jetty View Park and The Wedge. Along the way,
the sand and beaches are all public. Parking is limited (especially
during busy summer weekends) but often is free just steps from the beach
if you drive around.
Balboa Beach -Balboa
Boulevard, at Balboa Pier. Metered street parking. 6 am to 10 pm.
Facilities: Lifeguards, rest rooms, showers, picnic tables, and barbecue
grills. Newport Beach Marine Department at 949-644-3044.
Bayside Drive County Beach - Corona del Mar, at Ocean Blvd. and Fernleaf
Ave. Free street parking. Hours: 6 am to 10 pm. Facilities: Rest rooms.
Crystal Cove State Park -On
north side of Laguna Beach, at the end of Crescent Bay Drive. Free
street parking. Open: 6 am to 10 pm. Facilities: Lifeguards and rest
rooms.
Corona del Mar State Beach -in Corona del Mar, at Ocean Blvd. and Iris
Ave. $6 entrance fee per vehicle. Open 8 am to 8 pm Facilities: Lifeguards,
rest rooms, showers, picnic tables, and fire pits.
Little Corona del Mar Beach -in Corona del Mar, at Ocean Blvd. and Poppy
Ave. Free street parking. Open: 6 am to 10 pm. Facilities: None.
Newport Municipal Beach -Oceanfront at Newport Pier. Metered parking lot and
street parking. Open 6 am to 10 pm. Facilities: Lifeguards, rest rooms, showers,
picnic tables, and fire pits.
Rocky Point -in Corona del Mar, at Ocean Boulevard and Harbor Channel. Free
street parking. Open: 6 am to 10 pm. Facilities: None.
Santa Ana River County Beach - Seashore Drive between Summit
and 61st Streets. Metered and limited free street parking. Open: 6 am to 10 pm.
Facilities: Lifeguards.
West Jetty View Park & The Wedge
- tip of Balboa Peninsula, at the end of
Channel Road in Balboa. Free parking lot. Open: 6 am to 10 pm. Facilities:

Lookout Point Park is
open to the public and features vistas of the Corona del Mar Main Beach and
the Pacific Ocean. It can accommodate small weddings of 20 people or less.
