Photos above show the Newport Beach bay that local residents call "back bay". Not to be confused with the other bay across PCH at Newport Dunes, this bay is located on Newport Beach back bay is a tucked away residential waterfront portion of the Newport Beach peninsula that enjoys a great location, fantastic weather, boat docks, channel access to the Pacific Ocean, restaurants, parks and the Pacific Ocean a few blocks west. Shown is one of the bay scenes near River Avenue and 43rd Street.

Located near a community park, there's no beach access here. It's just a great place to view what Newport Beach enjoys...lots of bays, boats and year-round sunshine that makes it one of the top tourist destinations in Orange County, California.  John Wayne lived in Newport Beach along the waterways nearby. In fact, his yacht, Wild Goose, plies the waters as a Hornblower Dinner Cruise boat that you can ride and dine on.

For beach living, you really can't beat Newport Beach. The above pictures show the lifestyle residents enjoy on a daily basis in this mellow beach environment. Long time residents blend easily with newcomers. Your neighbor may be a celebrity, a land mogul, a corporate giant, a successful Realtor, or just someone who's invested wisely and who's able to afford the price of waterfront living in one of Southern California's most desirable destinations.

The lifestyle has long been oriented toward the sea. From your boat slip and vessel you have access to Catalina Island less than 25 miles west, to San Diego to the south and San Francisco to the north. Fishermen and sailors embrace the athletic, outdoor life that's lived to the fullest, year-round in Newport Beach, California.
