Park your car along Seashore
Street at 52nd Street in Newport Beach to enjoy seasonal solace and a beautiful
sunset along the sandy beaches where it's so nice to get your feet wet.
Rock
jetties cause the waves to break offshore as you stroll along the sand, watching
surfers, the sea mist from the jetty breaks and the immaculate houses at this
end of the beach.
In the distance, you can see
Huntington Beach's AES Electric Generating Station with its huge, dual smoke
stacks. While some wished this huge facility would one day be dismantled, locals
officials have recently approved the construction of a desalination plant that
will suck salt water from the sea and purify it, hoping to resell it for a
profit to thirsty counties south of this region via a pipeline. \ Further beyond the power
plant is the faint image of a tall hotel building, the Hilton Waterfront Hotel.
Closer in Newport Beach are some beautiful hotel properties and resorts such The
Island at Fashion Island, The Hyatt Regency Resort and Tennis Club, The Marriott
Resort, Balboa Bay Club and a variety of accommodations.
For vacationers, the beaches
of Newport offer beautiful settings to enjoy a day of relaxation, though you'll
not find restroom facilities at the 52nd Street location.
