Newland House in the Newland
Center (with anchor
Albertsons), is quite easy
to find. Though the house is
slightly tucked off the
street, the shopping center
with its Burger King and
can't be missed as you
travel south toward the
beach.
From the north:
Exit San Diego Freeway
(Interstate 405) at Edinger
Avenue, go toward Huntington
Beach. Drive 4.5 miles to
Utica, where you will need
to enter the left turn lane
into the mall. This
turn will be past Yorktown
and before Adams.
From the south:
Exit San Diego Freeway
(Interstate 405) at Talbert
Avenue and drive west on
Talbert toward Beach Blvd.
At Beach Blvd., turn left.
Drive several stoplights and
turn left at Utica at the
Newland Center. It is after
you pass Yorktown and before
Adams Ave.
There are several turns into
the mall. You can enter at
least three on Beach Blvd.,
and another on Adams Ave.
Once entering the Newland
Center, stay in the right
lane and turn right where
the road ends. Drive past
Mother's Market and you'll
find the Newland House
Museum on your left. There
is ample parking on the
right hand side of the lot,
or adjacent to the Newland
House.
Getting to Newland House
Directions: Take Beach
Boulevard exit off
the San Diego Freeway
(405).
Go South toward
Huntington Beach for several
miles. Turn left at Utica
Street and enter Newland
Center. Newland House
is located in Newland
Center straight back and
to the right, set upon
the hill near Mother's
Market.
