Monterey-- Monterey Plaza photo and Monterey Bay.  The Monterey Plaza and Monterey Plaza Hotel offer a European look and feel. Not inexpensive, the accommodations at the bayside hotel normally begin in the mid-$200's for a night time stay. It's the nicest hotel on this side of the bay at Cannery Row and those who've tried it have thoroughly enjoyed the rooms and ambience this hotel offers.

Seen in the lower portion of the photo above is a set of steps providing public access to a narrow strip of sand and beach where kayaks can be launched. Not particular large, this is a modest sunbathing beach. Across the bay are Monterey's best beaches, the Monterey State Beach and the Fort Ord Dunes State Beach, perfect for family picnics, beach afternoons, morning strolls, romantic sunsets and miles of sand.

Along this plaza is a hotel, restaurants and shops.  It is located next to the Steinbeck Plaza with additional shopping and dining, and nearby Monterey Bay Aquarium. For a lovely, tucked away view, this vista can be seen from the sidewalks next to the hotel.
