Monrovia, California Festivals and Events offer the old-fashioned
experiences you remember from your childhood. Held in the resurrected
downtown and community that's rebounded to become one of the greatest
downtown experiences in all of Southern California, Old Town on Myrtle has
become the heart of community gathering that tourists can enjoy and
experience. As an outsider, we tourists see so much that the local community
may not recognize as special. Shady streets, shops with names not
recognizable as any chain, parking that's free and close to the attractions
and the backdrop of mountains all make this city a charmed environment for
those who visit and participate in what the Monrovia has to offer.
Special events - Special events
throughout the year include Art Walk, Monrovia Art Festival, Farmer's
Market, Old Town Holiday Parade and Food, Wine & Jazz Festival. Every
Friday, Old Town hosts the Family Festival and Farmers Market. Produce is
available, and crafts are sold. The city's annual Arts Festival as well as
the Monrovia Days Parade offers old fashioned fun.
