Moss Beach, California is located in San Mateo County between Half Moon Bay and Pacifica on Highway 1. Known for Moss Beach Distillery and its resident ghost, The Blue Lady, the restaurant features the largest patio dock with ocean views in the region. Live music includes jazz and blues bands that often play at night.

 

 

At Moss Beach, kayaking is a very popular sport. Kayakers climb over a set of rocks and launch from into the Pacific Ocean. The small region of sandy beach is enjoyed by adults and youth who play in the sand. An interpretive center at the top of hill leading to the beach includes information about local flora and fauna and sells a few items useful to identification of sea life.
