This is a nice hotel (top photo- large building on right) with a fantastic location overlooking a beach and marina. If you've read about this spot, you know that there are more restaurants within a one mile area than nearly any place in the US. Go out and explore the night life, or take the kids and enjoy Mother's Beach with the colorful artwork above.  Right next to the slide (pictured) are volleyball nets.  Then there's the bike path that goes for miles. You can ride a bike or roller blade, jog or walk this paved path that runs along the beach, passing through cities such as Manhattan Beach, Venice and Santa Monica. That's the beauty of California life.  You can sleep on the beach or work out for hours, whichever fits your idea of relaxation. 

 

Rent a kayak and paddle this gentle bay next to the hotel (top photo), go fishing on one of the daily trips or take a cruise around the bay.  Having seen the variety of hotels around the region, we like this one for price, location and quality of the room.  You can find less expensive properties but the 3 diamond rating from AAA represents a level of cleanliness, comfort and amenities BEACHCALIFORNIA staff prefers.
