California lighthouses
Shoreline Village is located in the harbor next to the
Long Beach Convention Center and Aquarium of the Pacific. It has a complete
fun zone for children, boat and paddle boat rentals for harbor fun and
specialty shops and restaurants. Dine on the freshest seafood with the
best atmosphere at Long Beachh's premier waterfront restaurant: Parker's
Lighthouse (pictured above with red roof). Parker's Lighthouse is both a a
lighthouse and a restaurant. Built in 1982, this privately maintained
property has a focal plane 71 ft
(21.5 m and includes a white flash every 10 seconds. The lantern centered at
the peak of the roof on a round 2-1/2 story restaurant. The architects
Edmund Stevens Associates, Inc. Located in Shoreline Village opposite the
Long Beach Lions Light it is listed as Light List 2925.
Also included in this photo is the Lion's
Lighthouse for Sight in the Long Beach Harbor. Built in 2000, it contains a
focal plane 105 ft (32 m). 65 ft (20 m) steel tower with harbor master's
office in the base. The lighthouse was partially funded by the Long Beach
Downtown Lions Club, and the lighthouse is known as the Lions Lighthouse for
Sight. Lighthouse dedicated December 10, 2000. Located just to the east of
the Aquarium of the Pacific on the north side of the entrance to Long Beach
harbor and the west side of the small boat basin. Owner/site manager: City
