One of our favorite coastal places to play and explore is pictured above..  Seal Beach, Market Place, Marina Pacifica, Naples Island and beautiful, little 72nd Street Beach cannot be beat.  We also love taking Aqualink catamaran water ride from Alamitos Landing (pictured above) to the Queen Mary Ship, Aquarium of the Pacific and Shoreline Village. Our first choice for hotel is Seaport Marina Hotel because you can walk to the boat and several great restaurants, plus the Sunday Farmer's Market from your hotel door. You can walk an additional 2 blocks on Pacific Coast Highway from Best Western Golden Sails and it is a nice hotel, as well. It actually is closer to California State University Long Beach campus which is up the hill just a block away.  Either way, with the prices and location of these two hotel properties, we have them on our list of places to stay.
