Beach Swings & Playgrounds
Every kids vacation at the beach needs
a swing, at least. Kids love to swing and play in the sand. That's
where Avila Beach comes in. Avila Beach is a Central Coast gem. Located
on the Central California coast, the city has two pleasure piers with fun
for kids, several beaches and protected coves, restaurants with great beach
snacks and best of all swing sets.
The fairly new playground includes the
textured foam flooring and some sand pits where the tiny tots and older kids
can play pirates. The can climb and jump, build castles or swing. Kids can
do most anything they want in Avila Beach. Volleyball nets are also
available for sand court play. Other beach activities include swimming, boating,
fishing, surfing, golf and up the hill at the San Luis Bay Inn, tennis for those
who stay. Kite flying is great at this beach, too. And you can also enjoy
watching the seals and sea lions near the pier and wharf. There's so much to
enjoy at this scenic location that you'll wish for another vacation.
