In Huntington Beach's Huntington Harbour, it's possible to enjoy a pleasurable 1 or even day rental of a kayak that you can launch directly from the shore into one of the the favorite waterways with five manmade islands--Admiralty, Davenport, Gilbert, Humboldt and Trinidad.

 

While kayaking is a sport that allows you to launch from any small beach, likewise you can pull up to one of the public parks with picnic tables and restroom facilities or pull up to the shore of a beach such as the sandy, small cove at Mother's Beach in Huntington Harbour. There are not many outdoor concessions in the Huntington Harbour, a mostly residential community but when you head back to the kayak rentals in Sunset Beach, you'll find plenty of restaurants selling lunch, snacks and sandwiches.

Located near the Huntington Beach city limit on Pacific Coast Highway in Sunset Beach is Sunset Yachts. You can rent and launch a kayak from there or launch your own craft from the public launch ramp near the Huntington Harbour Yacht Club, located on Warner Avenue near the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Warner, next to the fire station.
