California—Taking into account the wants and needs of some
of the world’s top meeting planners, Hyatt Regency
Huntington Beach Resort & Spa opened in February 2003 with
the largest collection of indoor and outdoor function space on
the California Coast. Specifically designed based on surveys
and focus groups conducted with planners, the resort not
only features breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, but
over 110,000 square feet of function space that is practical
and functional as well as casually sophisticated.
The resort’s
20,000-square-foot Grand Ballroom accommodates up to 2,000
guests and can be divided into seven sections providing
maximum flexibility. Two additional ocean view junior
ballrooms, the Huntington and the Vista, total almost 10,000
square feet and can accommodate more than 1,000 guests
combined. Both the Huntington and the Vista can be divided
into smaller sections and offer convenient pre-function
areas as well. An interior courtyard adjacent to the two
ballrooms serves as the main corridor for the resort’s
conference center, providing a distinctive setting for
guests and pre-function events.
The resort also offers
the 10,7000-square-foot Mariners Hall, complete with 16-foot
ceilings, ideal for exhibits, tradeshows and heavily themed
events.\
Additional indoor
function space includes seven executive boardrooms and
extensive meeting facilities, bringing the resort’s total
number of meeting rooms to 29.
All of the resort’s
meeting facilities have high speed internet access, as well
as high speed network solutions allowing groups to access
local area networks and virtual private networks,
demonstrate on-line products and conduct computer-based
training classes.
With tranquil blue
waters, gentle breaking of waves and the faint scent of salt
water serving as a backdrop, Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach
Resort & Spa’s outdoor function space provides a dramatic

prominent theme throughout, the resort features more than
60,000 square feet of outdoor function space ideal for
weddings, receptions and other special events. The
Lighthouse Courtyard features a lush, manicured lawn

lobby, the California Courtyard features a dramatic
reflecting pool surrounded by patios and palm trees with a
grass knoll overlooking the ocean. The California Courtyard

trained Meeting Concierge to anticipate the unexpected
situations that may occur during meetings and events. The
Meeting Concierge works directly with meeting planners and
attendees from arrival through departure ensuring a
