mall in Huntington Beach offers great
service, good food, and satisfying
quantities. Priced on the mid-range with
entrees starting around $9 and topping
out around $20 for a Calabrese Strip,
it's not the sort of place those on a
budget can afford to visit regularly. By
the time you add an $8 salad, a glass of
wine, and some dessert, you'll easily
spend from $35 to 50 per person. But for
a special treat or take-out of luncheon
items and breads, soups, etc., you could
acquire an addition for hot meals with
quality cuts meats, fish, and fresh
pastas. The sauces are expertly prepared
and certainly make the dishes work.
In a
group of four people, we sampled each
others plates and all were delicious and
memorable. The only thing that stood out
was the food server making
recommendations for vino, when we didn't
ask. They actually recommend their wines
with each menu item! On the menu, fish,
lamb, beef, steaks, chicken and
vegetarian options offer a varied menu
that allows you to go light or fill up.
Owned
by the same corporation that also owns
Chili's up the busy Beach Blvd. just a
few miles from this chain restaurant, it
shows that there's enough traffic at
this San Diego Freeway exist to support
many restaurant chains. Located in the
same dining and shopping complex with
Pasta Pomodoro, there's also a Buca
de Bepo across the street, and an
Italian bistro at Old World Village that
many diners love. The good news is that
Italian faire is going strong at the
beach and if you long for some chain
restaurant Italian, you won't go wrong
stopping and dining at Macaroni Grill.
