Huntington
Beach Central Park - ParkBench Cafe
Huntington Beach, Calif.--Park
Bench Cafe is one of two outdoor, dog friendly diners (the
other is Alice's Breakfast in the
Park) in Central Park, the crown jewel of the parks
system in Huntington Beach. There are over 72 parks in the
city but none quite compare with this center of
everything...two cafes, 350+ acres, the Central Library, a
sports complex with ball fields, an equestrian center, a
disc golf course, a nature center, and some much more.

Park Bench Cafe is
open for breakfast and lunch daily. It's menu includes the
usual breakfast meals, plus hamburgers, sandwiches, salads,
and plenty of delicious beverages to quench your thirst. On
the menu are items for your dog as well. While there's a
small indoor seating section, the bulk of the tables and
dining are outdoors on grass lawns. A grove of trees (mostly
eucalyptus) offer some shade, and the diner sits on the edge
of a paved walking trail that goes through the park, with a
par course and exercise stations along its way.
In addition to a great
outdoor dining experience that Southern California's mellow
weather invites you to enjoy throughout the year, the Park
Bench Cafe can accommodate special events as it does most
weekends. Kids birthday parties, pet gatherings,
anniversaries, art clubs, you name it... anything that would
be fun to host in a park can be done on your own, but the
restaurant makes it a lot easier, and handles the permit
process for the bounce houses and other items you need for a
perfect event.
