Huntington Beach, Calif.--BJ's is a popular downtown Huntington Beach restaurant known for its tasty pizza and iced brews. This micro-brew pub offers casual dining with indoor or outdoor seating, and family-friendly menus that are inviting. Located in over a dozen states, the popular restaurant offers award-winning crafted beers, and an extensive menu with salads, chicken dishes, baby back ribs, fish, steaks, tacos, sandwiches, burgers, pasta....something for everyone, in a nutshell.

Launched in Santa Ana, Calif. in 1978, a popular deep dish pizza was a huge success at BJ's Chicago Pizzeria. During nearly 20 years of operations, there were only a handful of the pizzerias owned by the founders.  Like so many companies, things can't stay the same. You either have to grow, be acquired, or come up with a marketing plan to sustain status quo. The answer was acquisition. 1996 BJ's dropped the Chicago Pizzeria from the name and branded the company with their product, beer.  Launched right around the time that brew pubs and microbreweries were gaining success, handcrafted beers at BJ's were becoming as popular as the pizzas, offering the distinction from other pizza restaurants that would make growth possible for a mid-priced food and beverage product offering.

Over 100 menu items and at least 25 medals for quality beers are enjoyed in restaurants in over a dozen states. With more than 80 restaurants, the company hopes to continue expansion. Based in Huntington Beach, BJ's Restaurants, Inc., seems to be going strong and no doubt, should top 100 stores.
