Trick or Treat on Main
Street is a popular annual event that's a safe, family fun
gathering allowing kids to Trick or Treat with merchants in
the first three blocks of Main Street in downtown Huntington
Beach California. Held on Halloween Day, October 31, for
over 10 years, a petting zoo, bounce houses, games, booths
and costume contest are part of the merriment for youth
dress in costumes.
While the Huntington
Beach event continues to grow in popularity, nearby
celebrations include Knotts Berry Farm's annual haunt, Queen
Mary's haunted ship event in Long Beach, Universal Studios
themed scare event and Disneyland's scare event at the
Haunted Mansion.
Not to be outdone, the
largest event in the US is held in West Hollywood.
Over 500,000 people attend the West Hollywood Street Party
on October 31 with live bands, extravagant costumes, food
booths and celebrities.
For year round ghosts and
haunt experiences, there's a ghost walking tour in San
Francisco, Winchester Mystery House daily tours and many
haunted hotels and buildings, some of them listed on the
California Historic Register, such as the Whaley House in
Old Town San Diego.
