When Bella Terra (formerly Huntington Beach Mall) re-opened in Fall 2006, its mix of restaurants offered veracious diners additional options to the fast food drive-thrus, restaurants scattered throughout the city and downtown offerings at the epicenter of al fresco dining. Back at Bella Terra on the east side of town,   Italian's "in" at an Italian-themed mall that loosely translates as "beautiful earth". Two Asian restaurants that have amped the quality and pace far beyond the mall down the street's (Westminster Mall) Chinese fast food plates are Pei Wei (714) 230-2050 and Kabuki Restaurant (714) 898-9239.  Other ethnic offerings include Daphne's Greek Cafe (714) 903-2137, Johnny Rocket's (American) (714) 901-1100. When you take in at movie at the Century 20 Theater, you can also dine on Nathan's hotdogs and delicious, lightly-sweetened kettle corn.

 

For dessert, The Cheesecake Factory (714) 889-1500 has some whopping dishes filled with mega-calories for that energy boost or you can head over to two coffee houses, Starbucks (714) 890-9577 or Peet's Coffee (714) 230-8001 for a whipped cream topped iced or hot drink. Then drop by Ben & Jerry's  (714) 895-9922 for delicious ice cream, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory (714) 901-3107 or See's Candy (714) 892-2188 for a truffle or chocolate candy confection with enough sugar to send you on your way. After all that great eating, you can walk around the mall a couple times to wear off the calories.

 

Huntington Beach has always enjoyed a great night scene at its Downtown Main Street.
