California is home to some of the most beautiful beaches and girls in the world. Healthy, sunny and fun, a vacation to California doesn't limit you to beach activities such as sunbathing, surfing and swimming, however. Getting around California, its beaches, mountains and deserts: Amtrak runs throughout the state, there are over 10 airports with connecting flights to Los Angeles, San Francisco and Las Vegas, and car rentals get you out the roads exploring. With over 450 beaches to see, 1000 miles of coastal vistas, major mountain ranges, world class museums such as The Getty (which is free) and Hollywood celebrity sightings daily, you'll shift into overdrive having a good time. The most popular destinations include Disneyland, L.A., Frisco and San Diego. Seeing them all requires several days to cover the distance of over 500 miles.

Travel tips: Bring a jacket and sweater, and keep the casual theme going. Formal dress codes are rare (unless you have an invitation to Beverly Hills Country Club). Since clothing is sold everywhere, beach trips allow you to pack light. When driving in the city, rush hour can set you back on meetings and appointments. Try to drive mid-day on major freeways or before and after the rush which normally happens from 6-9 a.m., and 4-6 p.m. weekdays on major freeways in San Diego, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
