The most popular destinations include Disneyland, L.A., Frisco and San Diego. Seeing them all requires several days to cover the distance of over 500 miles.

Travel tips: Bring a jacket and sweater, and keep the casual theme going. Formal dress codes are rare (unless you have an invitation to Beverly Hills Country Club). Since clothing is sold everywhere, beach trips allow you to pack light. When driving in the city, rush hour can set you back on meetings and appointments. Try to drive mid-day on major freeways or before and after the rush which normally happens from 6-9 a.m., and 4-6 p.m. weekdays on major freeways in San Diego, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
