The ancient redwood trees are certainly stars in this region, dating over 2,000 years and standing taller than you can imagine. People from around the world come to visit and look at the huge trees. Migrating whales, elephant seals, and all sorts of wildlife can be seen along the coast and in the wooded forests around Sonoma County's Sea Ranch area. The hotels in the region aren't so plentiful.
