We've tried the entire spectrum of San Diego hotels and certainly prefer the expensive hotels more, but on many occasions, we've opted for the $50 per night rooms, just for a quick, affordable weekend that won't break the bank. San Diego is easy to get to know, and it also feels like home. Sometimes the charm of the city makes you not want to leave. If you plan on visiting one place in California, San Diego is one of your best choices.
