San Francisco Bay Area hotels range in services from budget to luxury resort accommodations. While the location often dictates the price you must pay when you're staying at Fisherman's Wharf, let's say, you can shop and get some deals occassionally. Look for the "off" days. In Silicon Valley and off day may be a weekend, which means if you're flying into San Francisco for a vacation or other trip on a weekend, consider staying in Redwood City, Burlingame or other cities where a strong business and corporate environment exists. But nevertheless, we love our weekend getaways to San Jose to see the arts and entertainment you can walk to from a convention-close hotel. From Bodega Bay to Pacifica, Half Moon Bay and Santa Cruz, these beaches are gems of the California coast.
