In a class of its own, the nicest hotel in Huntington
Beach bar none, is The Waterfront Hilton Beach Resort. Across the street
from the blue Pacific, many rooms offer unobstructed ocean views.
Huntington Beach Pier is visible to the north and on a clear day, Catalina
Island can be seen 25 miles off shore.

Several restaurants offer outdoor dining and ocean views.
A gift shop, swimming pool, small exercise facility and tennis courts are
a few of the amenities. Free self-parking or valet is available.
A couple from Delaware (above) enjoys a patio breakfast and fine weather
during their hotel stay and business trip.

Business travelers, sports teams, tourists, celebrities
and believe it or not, locals stay at the Waterfront resort. Roberta
and Gary Garner married on a Saturday and checked into a reserved suite
overlooking the beach after their wedding ceremony and reception ended.
"Due to our busy schedules, we needed a getaway close
to home," said Roberta. "We live just a few miles from the Waterfront Hilton
so the location was ideal for the short amount of time we had." The couple
both share a love of the beach and play in volleyball tournaments on the
weekends. "We had the greatest time on our mini-vacation. We wandered
over to the beach to watch the filming of a television program, then walked
to the pier to see some volleyball action."
The couple ended their busy day with a sunset dinner at
the hotel, a swim in the pool and a bottle of champagne in their suite.

and special packages, call for quotes. The lowest price quoted on my recent
query was $199 for a king bed and ocean view, though there were restrictions
and availability was quite limited.
