Formerly known as Hello Kitty Boardfest, the 2007 Boardfest is coming Labor Day Weekend to Huntington Beach California. The all-girl surf festival series at the Huntington Beach Pier is usually held in September or October is an event that  attracts the world’s best short and longboard surfers battling for cash prizes.   Boardfest, the annual girls gathering held Labor Day Weekend is billed as an all-girl, action sport, music and empowerment festival. EVENTS: Huntington Surf & Sport Surf Zone (9/1-3): Top American female surfers will battle for $5000 in cash and prizes at a professional rated competition. Jeep Snow Zone (9/2-3): Eighty tons of fresh snow will be blown on the beach in September at the second annual Boardfest Snowboard Rail Jam.
