Fountain Valley, "A Nice Place to
Live" enjoys unique artwork. Upper left is the
Kingston Technologies building, middle is a
sculpture gracing the exterior courtyard and
reflection pool at Fountain Valley Library.
Upper right photo of an actual piece of girder
from the World Trade Center is mounted and
includes a plaque from a local Boy Scouts troop
commemorating the 9/11 event. This can be seen
in the park at Fountain Valley Civic Center.

Fountain
Valley enjoys a healthy, business-friendly
environment with office parks and fantastic
discount stores such as Costco, Sam's Club and
Fry's Electronics. Green belts, parks and public
art are environmentally pleasing, contributing
to the wealth of of this vibrant community. One
of Fountain Valley's finest attractions not
often mentioned or recognized is its Civic
Center, located on Slater Avenue between the
streets of Brookhurst and Ward. The Civic Center
includes the beautiful fountains pictured above,
a community center, library and historic
buildings and gardens available for special
events. You'll find all this by parking your
car and walking around the Civic Center grounds.
Pictured
above is a steel girder from the New York City
World Trade Center...attacked by terrorists on
September 11, 2001. In honor of all victims of
terrorism, it is dedicated to the Citizens of
Fountain Valley.
The plaque
contains these words: "They shall not grow old
as we that are left grow old. Age shall not
weary them, nor the years condemn. And in the
morning, we shall remember them." Laurence
Binyon, 1914
