The flower arrangement in the
photo above shows tulips and assorted flowers in shades of orange, yellow and
blue that are set in clear, glass vase filled with water, lemons, limes and
another indistinguishable piece of fruit.
The picture was taken at a
special birthday dinner in the private upstairs room of The Five Crowns
Restaurant in Corona del Mar. Not sure if the party brought the arrangement or
the restaurant supplied it, it is included in the gallery as a great way to use
some of your surplus of California lemons and fruit that grow so abundantly in
Southern California where this restaurant is located. The fruit can still be
used afterwards, but does a pretty good job of holding the flowers in place
while adding color to the arrangement.
It's just one more affordable
idea to help you plan your next event's flower and table arrangements. And if
you aren't into that sort of thing, the colors are pleasant to look at, anyway.
When visiting
Corona del Mar, a town within the bounds of Newport
Beach,
there's really no
finer place to dine than the Five Crowns restaurant, known for its
prime rib. Nearby along the coast are some beautiful
Laguna Beach hotels, include
Casa Laguna Inn & Spa, and the more affordable
Holiday Inn, located just across the street and down some
steps to the beach.
