California beach fire rings
Are you ready for some
beach excitement with a cozy, toasty fire in a fire pit at Corona del Mar
State Beach? Visitors love cooking hot dogs and marshmallows in the fire
rings supplied free on a first come first serve basis. While you have to
bring your own wood and food, of course, the beach views and sunsets are
free of charge of every day of the year.
Corona del Mar State
Beach offers fantastic, new restroom facilities, a shaded lawn with picnic
tables and BBQ grills, and the sand beach pits lined up in several rows with
ample space between them so your family and friends (or you, alone) can have
the time of your life at the beach.
On a recent, sunny
72-degree day, a man sat beside his fire and enjoyed the views of the sea.
Day or night, you can enjoy the firerings, but nighttime lights up with the
orange glow of fires and delicious smell of fires burning.
To bring wood and stake
out the firepits, its easiest to drive down the hill and pay the parking fee
so you can haul your wood to the nearby rings. But there is free parking on
the hills above. From there you must carry items down a set of steps and
walk a small distance.
