California Festivals and
Fairs in November include
events with a
culturally-rich and diverse
mix of foods, festivities
and fun. From tamales to
mushrooms, you'll be jumping
for joy at the variety of
great activities in the
parades, plays, fairs,
festivals and holiday
celebrations.
Californians have turned
Thanksgiving Day
celebrations into something
new. Not stuck to the tube
watching football games,
people like to get out and
run in Turkey Trots, for
instance. Some of our
favorite events include the
Turkey Trot held at Doheny
Beach in Dana Point, a
no-turkey dinner at Carmel
Valley Ranch, where turkeys
sit outside the window and
watch and the Queen Mary
Thanksgiving Buffet, a
feast. Thousands of
festivals in November launch
the Christmas holiday. Tree
lightings, parades, Santa
visits, town square open
houses and countless wine
country chefs dinners are a
few of the events, fairs,
festivals and celebrations
that launch California into
the winter season where it
can be cold and snowy in the
mountains, or warm and sunny
at the beaches and deserts.
