Apple Blossom Festival
Apple Blossom Festival is a decades-old Oak Glen
tradition, and at Los Rios Rancho we’ll be doing their
part to add to the festivities. Admission’s free, so
come up and enjoy the cool springtime air, the beautiful
blossoms on the trees, and some of the prettiest picnic
spots in all of Southern California.
During the daytime Saturday and Sunday we’ll have fun
for all ages, including:
* Kite flying on the green - bring your own kite, or buy
one at the store
* Horse-drawn carriage rides
* Little Seedling Ranch (visit the barnyard critters or
play in the hay bale fort and maze)
* Tree planting in our Centennial Orchard (2 p.m. both
days)
* U-press cider (11 a.m. – 4 p.m. both days)
Don’t forget to enjoy a picnic. If you don’t want to
pack a basket, the bakery and BBQ will be open all
weekend, serving up tasty tri-tip sandwiches and
fixings, cookies, pies, cider, and more.
There’s more family fun to be had Saturday night at our
Apple Blossom Hoedown. Dust off your dancing shoes and
kick up your heels in a good old country barn dance,
with picking and singing provided by Riley’s
Mountaineers. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7.50 for
kids 3-12. The Hoedown starts at 7 p.m. There’s no
dinner with this one, but our bakery will stay open for
folks who dance up an appetite.
Where to stay when
visiting Riley's beautiful location?
Redlands is going to be your best bet for
accommodations.
Best Western Sandman Inn is our top choice for
hotels. Only 10 to 15 minutes by car from the concert
venue, you'll find approximately 6 hotels available in
Redlands that sits at the base of the San Bernardino
mountain range where the mountain resort of
Big Bear Lake is located.
