SAN DIEGO RIDER CATEGORY
This fully supported 2-day bike ride, that will roll from Santa Monica down the coast to San Diego. With a route just under 200-miles, it is sure to be a fast and fun weekend.
EGLIN RIDER CATEGORY
This is similar to the ride in San Diego but occurring in the Niceville FL area. Please check www.eodride.org for more details.
VIRTUAL RIDER CATEGORY
Can't make it to the ride. This allow for those rider that would like to participate on their own. Just ride the same miles (160 miles) on your bike or gym bike.
If Virtual Riders raise a minimum of $300 they will receive commemorative T-Shirt, Jersey, and bibs.
The participants will travel by chartered bus on Friday from San Diego to Santa Monica. For those flying in, we will have storage for bike boxes at the finish area.
A special and distinctive commemorative participant only cycling kit will be available, with proceeds going to the foundation.
The minimum donation of $1000 will include your transportation from San Diego to Santa Monica, Fri and Sat lodging, dinners, full ride support, a commemorative T-shirt a custom designed jersey and bibs.
For those riders at the top end of the donation scale, we will be awarding cycling gear from Easton-Bell Sports. These prizes will include a set of EA90 SLX wheels to the top earner, as well as bars, stems, and seat posts awards for those going above and beyond.
The event will end with a celebratory Family Picnic, which will include awards, BBQ and entertainment –
This event provides an opportunity to enjoy one of the most spectacular biking tracks in America, while supporting our Wounded EOD Warriors and their families. All proceeds will go to the WEODWF (www.woundedeodwarrior.org) which funds
and supports military EOD families caring for their loves ones at military medical facilities across the country. The resources provided to the families are above and beyond the budgetary constraints of the Department of
Defenses and the Department of Veterans A.airs. The resources of the WEODWF are entirely
obtained through donations and fund-raising events.
