Massively draped trees with brilliant purple lights shine in the night. Accented by a neighboring tree decorated all in red, or green spiral trees with small shining stars illuminate the night. If holidays delight you, be sure to visit Watsonville Parks and Community Services' event, the annual Lighting of the City Plaza. Located not far from Monterey and Santa Cruz, Watsonville offers a small-town feel with a real sense of community. 

This family event, lighting of the City Plaza, includes performances by local school choirs, entertainment, speeches, and Santa. This annual lighting of the plaza which was previously decorated by volunteers from the public, includes thousands of lights that offer a very bright holiday at City Plaza from December 6th through January 1st.
