Huntington Beach--To commemorate
the 100th birthday of Huntington Beach, long-time resident Bill Anderson
has created a special art show in his Sunset Beach gallery, Anderson
Gallery. Known around the globe but not widely publicized in his home
town, Anderson confesses that he doesn't do much to toot his own horn.
He can't recall a time that his very own works have been featured in an
exhibit in his gallery. With a collection of fine art representing
several renown artists, Anderson primarily focuses on the works of other
painters and sculptors. And while he is known for painting the
disappearing scenes and landscapes lost forever to time, what a better
time to showcase his Huntington Beach material than during the launch of
its centennial celebration, which begins in January 2009.
Anderson's
special exhibit will run throughout January, and the public is invited
to share in the joy of one of Southern California's favorite and most
visited destinations, Huntington Beach, California.
Painting & Poster exhibit honoring Huntington Beaches’ 100th
Anniversary runs through Feb. 2009 at
Anderson’s Art Gallery,
16812 Pacific Coast Highway (next to Capt. Jack’s Restaurant).
