My Bloody Valentine 3-D, the Genre Film Favorite Joins “Rogues Gallery” of New Attractions for Annual Halloween Event, began October 2, and was inspired by Lionsgate’s 2009 theatrical re-make. My Bloody Valentine: Be Mine 4 Ever is a multi-sensory horror experience based upon the 2009 theatrical re-make of the original 1981 Canadian slasher classic considered “the ultimate slasher film” by horror aficionados. Universal Studios Hollywood maze brings to life the terrible events that take place in the town of Harmony, which is crippled by a series of horrific murders. Recreating the film’s bloody massacres in disturbingly realistic scenes, the Halloween Horror Nights experience assaults your senses of sight, sound, smell and touch. Guests entering the maze smell the dank, stale air of the film’s mineshaft, feel the spray of spattering blood and will pass closely through scenes of unrelenting carnage. It is the most lifelike representation of film horror ever created for a Halloween maze attraction.

The entire "Halloween Horror Nights" event at Universal Studios Hollywood has been re-designed for 2009. “Halloween Horror Nights” will feature four all-new mazes, a new “Terror Tram” backlot studio experience as well as terrifying new “Scare Zones.” New attractions will include a “live” maze experience based on the “Saw” film franchise, per an agreement among Universal Studios Theme Parks, Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures. Ten years ago, a tragedy changed the town of Harmony forever. Tom Hanniger, an inexperienced coal miner, caused an accident in the tunnels that trapped and killed five men and sent the only survivor, Harry Warden, into a permanent coma. But Harry Warden wanted revenge. Exactly one year later, on Valentine's Day, he woke up...and brutally murdered twenty-two people with a pickaxe before being killed.

Ten years later, Tom Hanniger returns to Harmony on Valentine's Day, still haunted by the deaths he caused. Struggling to make amends with his past, he grapples with unresolved feelings for his ex-girlfriend, Sarah, who is now married to his best friend, Axel, the town sheriff. But tonight, after years of peace, something from Harmony's dark past has returned. Wearing a miner's mask and armed with a pickaxe, an unstoppable killer is on the loose. And as his footsteps come ever closer, Tom, Sarah and Axel realize in terror that it just might be Harry Warden who's come back to claim them.

“Halloween Horror Nights” continues on consecutive weekends and selected weekday nights beginning on Friday, October 2 through Halloween, Saturday, October 31.
