TriLaVie's unique group training program includes professional coaching for running, walking, strength drills and stretch sessions. Weekly training sessions, detailed training plans combined with social events will be the highlight of your running season. We'll train for several area races including Surf City, OC Marthon/Half, Race on the Base, Laguna Hills Half/5k, Cinco de Mayo 5k/10k/Half, Long Beach and more! Choose your race and your goals! About TriLaVie
TriLaVie coaches provide sound principles for running and multi-sports training. Founder & Head Coach Martha Szufnarowski has assembled a superior team of USAT certified coaches and team volunteers who compete at all race distances including marathons and Ironman triathlons. We are experienced and compassionate. Our team has decades of experience running, racing and winning. We’ll guide you to an experience that is successful and empowering. Coaching is our passion!
Is this program right for you?
YES! Healthy women and young adults of all fitness levels are welcome into TriLaVie Running Series. Beginning runners and walkers are encouraged to train with our run/walk strategy. Runners who want to train to compete in the races should be able to run half their race distance before entering the program. Your speed does not matter. We'll coach you to attain your own personal goals. Full Marathon participants should have an 8-10mile base.
Training Groups
Coached training groups will address runners and walkers with varied goals.
Three (3) Training Groups Offered:
1. Walkers: Love exploring new paths, desire improved fitness, change of pace and social experience
2. Recreational: Enjoy running 3+ miles, desire training variety to improve endurance and overall fitness
3. Competitive: Experienced runners who have a base of 5+ miles, desire challenging training for increased speed
Training Program
The group meets Saturday mornings guided by coaches and run volunteers.
Training sessions will include:
• Coached learning components such as running form drills, nutrition, athlete self care
• Run or walk Session of 3+ miles depending on goals and fitness
• Strength Building
• Stretching
Training Plan
Participants receive a detailed TriLaVie Run Training Plan for independent training during the week that matches varied training goals.
Training Plans will accommodate beginners and advanced runners. For maximum benefits, your goal is to run 3 times/week and cross-train with cycle, swim, yoga or strength work 1 or 2 times on your own. Each independent session will take from 20 minutes – 2+ hours.

All participants receive discounts at shops such as Road Runner Sports and Runner's High, a free computerized and personal running shoe fitting, training plan, professional coaching, motivational speakers and world-class athletes. Most importantly, you'll meet invaluable running partners and gain friends for life! Many of our team races have discounts available.
Equipment
Properly fitting running shoes or trail running shoes are recommended. Please know that your shoes will get a bit dusty! You must carry your own water in a bottle, waist belt or camel back hydration system. Many local shops provide these items. You are welcome to a 10% discount at Road Runner Sports in Costa Mesa and Laguna Hills www.roadrunnersports.com when you mention TriLaVie.
Location
Locations will vary and rotate through beautiful trails and paths. A full schedule of meeting places, maps and directions will be provided at the beginning of the training. Come explore new running locations each week!

TriLaVie's charity beneficiary is the Exceeding Expectations Foundation. (www.eefoundation.org). Founded by Ironman Champion Cherie Gruenfeld, Exceeding Expectations trains youth for triathlons and races to empower them for life! TriLaVie has raised thousands of dollars for EE since 2009 through our racing and volunteer efforts. We do not require donations to EE, but ask you to occasionally volunteer to support a local race. How fun and simple!
