Huntington Beach Calif. --Centennial
Concerto was the theme of the Huntington Harbour Cruise of Lights events that
celebrated the beach cityy's 100th birthday. While the theme was new, to reflect
the old, the history, the house also contained elements of years past with its
festive design.
See the house a year earlier, lighted
similarly. See if you notice any differences. With such a classic design,
it's great that some of the Harbour home owners keep their decorations and
lighting, showing them another year. Why would anyone care?
Answer: An annual boat ride open to the
public called Cruise of Lights takes the public on a magic carpet ride through
the harbor and past these waterfront homes, showcasing their lighting and
themes. It is an event that brings out the water community in the spirit of the
season, to raise money for school programs relating to music.
For your magic carpet ride, check out
cruiseoflights.org each year to get tickets for the cruise, and we always try to
post it on our
beachcalifornia.com calendar of events, as well.
