The admission cost includes all entertainment, even the headline concerts. This is a great deal, as there is continuous entertainment throughout the fair, and so much to see and do! This fun-filled event features many happenings that are favorites for county fair attendees. There are hundreds of categories for competition, including livestock, cut flowers, quilting and baking. Many of the categories have divisions for both children and adults. There are so many competitions going on, it is impossible to see them all…but it's so much fun to try! It's particularly interesting to visit some of the Fine Arts competitions, where you can take in sculpture, photography and other art forms. This is something people don't get to see at every county fair, and it is nice to see how the local community is embracing their artistic side. The fair also has showcases where people or groups can enter to show off their talent in singing or other performing arts. One popular showcase is the Solano Stars talent competition. Of course, a favourite for all fair attendees is the food! The Solano County Fair does not disappoint, offering all the typical fair food. After checking out all the exhibits, and enjoying some yummy County Fair fare, guests can enjoy the carnival rides. This fun-filled event is held at the Solano County Fairgrounds. There is also a golf course located right on the fairgrounds, so you can make the most of your trip to the fair by adding on a round of golf!
