Seal Beach Chamber of Commerce "Summer
Concerts at the Pier" creates a family-fun atmosphere with a
calendar of event throughout the year.
Set to the backdrop of the
Pacific Ocean and Seal Beach Pier, Seth Eaker, director at Seal
Beach Chamber of Commerce, discusses the summer concert series.
Eaker enthusiastically invites the public to attend the Chamberr
concerts and other events throughout the year.
What type of music can you
expect to listen to and see at this concert series? Running six
weeks from mid-July to late August on Wednesday evenings, this
annual event generally features upbeat rock, surf tunes, acoustic,
folk and blues. Seal Beach is fortunate to enjoy much musical talent
and has previously hosted its very own Eddie Montana, owner of Seal
Beach Music store. Other featured artists include Jonathan Blake,
Kelly Fitzgerald, The Regular Guys, Danny Dean and the Homewreckers
(heard in the background of the video above,) The Elm Street Band
and The Eliminators.
Summer Concerts at the Pier is
a six-concert series with each lasting approx. two hours. Held on
the grass lawns of Eisenhower Park perched on a hill overlooking
Seal Beach beaches, the pier and Pacific Ocean, concerts begin
around 6 p.m. Intermissions provide opportunities to mingle, mix and
meet people. Free and paid parking is available near the event held
adjacent to the pier located at Ocean Avenue & Main Street.
In addition to free concerts,
the Seal Beach Chamber of Commerce also sponsors an annual car show,
Christmas Parade, Arts & Crafts Faire and many mixers, meetings and
seminars throughout the year. Seal Beach Chamber of Commerce
invites potential members and event sponsors to contact this
non-profit organization for more information about becoming
involved.
