That's why other cities in California call Oktoberfest a party event, yet the San Jose Chamber of Commerce calls it networking. Whatever drinking beer, eating sausages and kraut, and chasing it with a stout is all about, we like it.   Gordon Biersch Brewery in the downtown district offers a cool atmosphere filled with fun and good vibes. It's the ideal place to join in on an Oktoberfest event. Unfortunately, this event was limited to 200 folks at time of posting, so if you see some partying, head over to either Campbell's Oktoberfest  sponsored by its CofC (campbellchamber.com), or enjoy the huge party at Fort Mason in San Francisco, Oktoberfest by the Bay.   Upcoming in San Jose after Oktoberfest comes the San Jose Ice Skate Downtown.
