San Francisco Westin St. Francis Meetings and Events

San Francisco raises the bar on elegant hotel settings ideal for special events and meetings. Corporate functions, private affairs, dinner dances, weddings and anything special can't be beat in a place that overlooks the San Francisco skyline and bay. Sure, we've danced and dined at the high-rise Westin Bonaventure overlooking the Los Angeles skyline, but the Westin St. Francis in San Francisco offers something so cool, you just can't package it or find it anywhere else.

The creeping foggy mist, turned to crystal days isn't what it's all about. As you take an elevator to the top of the St. Francis after sleeping in one of the heavenly rooms, you wander into this elegant ballroom with its tall glass windows making full use of the views. Fine decor with accents of gold, carpets and drapes, and lighting that utilizes the natural window light and views by not overpowering this light source, all create more than just a functional place. The lighting is key to the special feeling that grabs you when you enter the room.

Enjoying a breakfast in the ballroom was a great way to start my day. The eggs were good, juice was standard and coffee served in fine china cups was very nice. We've seen the pictures of the room at night when it takes on the dark, elegant mood of the city's twinkling lights. While the rental of this space doesn't come cheap, it is certainly a spot I'd recommend for hosting an event.  Hotel reservation at The Westin.
