Diego offers an incredible, vibrant
theater filled with musical throughout the year. One shining star on US
tour is the musical, Wicked. It appears in San Diego July 29 through
Aug. 30, 2009.
Wicked is one of the most popular Broadway musicals of all times,
winning over 30 major awards. It's the story of two girls, one with
emerald green skin and the other a lovely blonde. The two characters
develop into the eventual characters, the good and evil witches in the
time honored classic, the Wizard of Oz, which actually celebrated its
70th anniversary in 2009.
In San Diego, the musical is appearing with an all star cast
featuring Donna Vivino and Katie Rose Clark as the evil and good
witches. Featured at the San Diego Civic Theatre, the one-month
run of this show is sure to sell out many nights.
